History
Before the construction of a brick church in the village, there was a wooden church in honor of Dimitry of Solun. The new church was built in 1811 under the leadership of the peasant Sila Vasilyevich Gladkov.
In 1831 a bell tower was attached to the church. At the end of the XIX century on the bell tower of the temple there were five bells. The last of them was acquired in 1882 in Voronezh .
After the Bolsheviks came to power, the bell tower was demolished, the church building was used for household needs. June 21, 1938 the temple was closed. During the occupation in 1942 it was re-opened. In 1944 the parish of the church was officially registered [1] . On October 6, 1950, under pressure from the Council for Religious Affairs, the temple was closed [1] .
On May 15, 1989, by decision of the Kursk Regional Council of People's Deputies, the church was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church .
