History

After the Soviet troops entered Czechoslovakia in August 1968, a new military doctrine on total national defense was adopted in Yugoslavia, according to which any citizen of the SFRY who resisted the aggressor is a full member of the Yugoslav armed forces. In the republics and provinces, the creation of UNA regional headquarters began.

From 1991 to 1992, the process of integration of various Muslim paramilitary units based on TO took place. [2]

On May 20, 1992, the MOT was renamed the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
