Works Pei Wei is not fully preserved. Only the work "Chun Yu Lun" (崇 有 論) (The Discourse on Respect for Being) has reached our days. Considering that Confucianism could not ensure the preservation of the state structures of the Han Empire, Pei Wei treated him mostly negatively. However, he considered it necessary to use some ethical Confucian categories ( Ren仁, Zhong 忠, Xin).
He was in favor of appointing to the posts of officials knowledgeable and capable people from poor families. Criticizing the position of Van Bi "non-existence - this is the root," Pei Wei fought against "respect for non-existence" for "respect for being."
