Born in Yekaterinburg in 1807 .
His father worked in a lapidary factory from the age of 15, was a master and at the end of the XVIII century led the class of "carved art". [one]
On May 1, 1822, Gavrila was sent to the school of the Yekaterinburg lapidary as a "tutorial in drawing and modeling. [2] After graduating, he remained at the factory.
In the years 1840-1850 led the production of hard stone products. Many of them received an inscription on the plinth saying that the products were prepared "under the direction of master G. Nalimov" - Master G. Nalimov .
In 1864, Nalimov retired, having worked at the factory for more than forty years.
One of the authors of the famous jasper vase 178 cm high, stored in the State Hermitage Museum.
In 1842, according to the project of architect Ivan Halberg [3], he created a bowl from Taganay aventurine at the Yekaterinburg factory. [4] The height of the vase is 146 cm, the diameter is 236 cm. It is also in the Hermitage.
He died on May 4, 1867 .
