Aleksander Issifovich Issurin ( August 10, 1916 , Vitebsk - April 13, 2013 [1] ) is a Soviet and Russian sports organizer, journalist and track and field judge.

Biography
Born in Vitebsk, in the 1930s he moved to Leningrad. He worked as the head of the sports ground in the Vyborg district, was the first chairman of the VOC DSS “Teacher” (1936-1939) [3] .
In the Red Army - since 1939; served more than 20 years. He graduated from the Pedagogical College and the Military Institute of Physical Culture . [3] Founder and first chief (1953-1962) [3] Sports Club of the Leningrad Army. Lieutenant colonel.
In 1940 [3] he was appointed head of the physical training department of the Leningrad Front House of the Red Army; during World War II remained in the besieged Leningrad . He was one of the organizers of the training of fighters by famous athletes. The initiator of the sporting events in the besieged city.
After resigning, for 16 years he was deputy chairman and head of the department of the Leningrad sports committee (1962-1980), then - head of the Spartak LSG sector (1980-1987) and the FSO of the Russia trade unions (1987-2003) [3] . For 34 years he headed the Leningrad Athletics Federation and was a member of the Presidium of the All-Union Athletics Federation.
International Walking Judge. He worked at the five Olympic Games (1956, 1964, 1968, 1976, 1980), where he was a judge of the competition in walking, secretary of the Soviet sports delegation and the leader of the team of specialists [4] .

Art. Lieutenant A. Issurin managed to deploy wide assistance to units in the matter of physical training of troops. On his initiative and with constant personal participation in the units, various cross-countries and competitions were widely deployed and entered the home, contributing to the development of an agile, hardy fighter.
During the period of the threat of storming the city, Comrade Issurin organized in parts a network of schools for the training of instructors of grenade launchers, fighters of German tanks. Helps a lot of parts in the methodology of training bayonet training, training skiers.
