Aviel ( Heb. אביאל ) is a moshav located in the Haifa District of Israel . Moshav is located at an altitude of 56 meters above sea level, six kilometers northeast of Benjamin's moshav and is administratively a member of the Alon Regional Council .

Creation
Moshav was founded by Herut activists in 1949 on the territory of the former Arab village of Sindiana, occupied during the Revolutionary War . Its area is about 3000 hectares.
Moshav was named after Israel Epstein (pseudonym "Aviel"), the envoy of Ezel in Rome , who was killed on December 28, 1946 while trying to escape from an Italian prison.
Population
According to the Central Bureau of Statistics of Israel , the population at the beginning of 2018 was 812 people [1] .
