Biography
Barbara Mori was born on February 2, 1978 in Montevideo. Her father is half Japanese , half Uruguayan , her mother is a Mexican with Basque roots. Parents divorced when Barbara was 3 years old. Up to 12 years old, Barbara lived on the road between Uruguay and Mexico, until she remained with her father and two brothers in Mexico. At the age of 14, Mori got a job as a waitress in a restaurant with her father. Designer Marcos Toledo saw her there and invited her to work. Mori then studied acting at the TV Training Center for Actors at Azteca .
In 1997, she starred in her first series "North of the Heart." The following year, Asul received the main role in the series “Blue Tequila” (“Asul” in Spanish means blue , also a female name).
Since 2005, he has been actively acting in films, although the first experience was back in 2000. The most notable films featuring Mori were My Brother's Wife (2005) and the Indian drama Kites, filmed by Rakesh Roshan in the United States . The film, in which Mori co-starred along with Hrithik Roshan , received positive reviews from critics, and Barbara Mori was nominated for the Zee Cine Awards for her debut in the Indian film industry .
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Barbara met with actor, singer and producer Sergio Mayer . In 1998, they had a son, Sergio. In the mid-2000s, Barbara was diagnosed with breast cancer at the initial stage, which was successfully cured.
