It is part of the Sidorovsky municipality (from January 1, 2006 to April 9, 2009 it was the center of the Lezhsky municipality) [1] [2] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division, it is the center of the Lezhsky Village Council.
The distance to the regional center of Gryazovets by road is 34 km, to the center of the Sidorovo municipality in a straight line - 23 km. The nearest settlements are Kanevo , Zasechnoye , Krasnoselye , Maysky , Lying .
According to the 2002 census, the population is 326 people (136 men, 190 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (97%) [3] .
