It is part of the Rostilovsky municipality (from January 1, 2006 to April 9, 2009 it was part of the Ploskovsky municipality) [2] [3] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division , it was part of the Ploskovsky village council.
The distance to the regional center of Gryazovets by road is 40 km, to the center of the municipality of Rostilovo in a straight line - 23 km. The nearest settlements are Chuprovo , Klimkovo , Novgorodovo .

History
In 1966, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the village of Chistaya Baba was renamed Chistaya [4] .
