The distance by road to the district center of Gryazovets is 11.5 km, to the center of the municipality of Rostilovo is 4.5 km. The nearest settlements are Skorodumka , Kromino , Pirozhkovo .
According to the 2002 census, the population was 8 persons [2] .
In the "Genealogy of the Vologda Village" it is indicated that in 1628 the village of Nikola Peña as Nikolsky's graveyard was the patrimony of the clergy in the Komelsky volost of Vologda district .
Soviet film director, People’s Artist of the USSR Levitsky, Nikolai Alekseevich (1911-1982) was born in Nikola Peña
