Biography
The Piris family comes from the city of Durasno . Juancito began his career at Peñarol [1] , but pretty soon ended up at Defensor, where he performed with his brother, also a midfielder, in the 1920s . Conduelo Piris later moved to Nacional, after which, in 1928, Juancito also joined the “three-color” camp. That year, Juan Emilio Piris made his debut in Defensor, with whom Juancito Piris is often confused. Juan Emilio played for the Violets until 1945, becoming the top scorer in club history, while Juancito Piris spent the last years of his career at Nacional [2] [3] .
In 1928, Juancito took part in the Olympic Games in Amsterdam . He spent two matches in the tournament - against the German national team , and then played in the second final mast against the Argentine national team , in which the Uruguayans still managed to break the resistance of their neighbors and become Olympic champions for the second time in a row [4] .
Juancito Piris died suddenly in 1946 at the age of 43 years.
