Blue-eyed Elmer ( Latin: Sisyrinchium elmeri ) is a species of flowering plants of the genus Blue-eyed ( Sisyrinchium ) of the Iris family ( Iridaceae ).

Botanical Description
Perennial rhizome herbaceous plant forming tufts. The stems are narrow, 20-30 cm tall, green, without wax coating, dry out, acquiring a dark green or brownish, but not black color. Flat, narrow leaves look like cereal leaves.
The flower consists of 6 tepals about 1 cm long. They are yellow or yellow-orange in color, with dark brown veins .
The fruit is a dark brown box .
Distribution and habitat
California endemic , where it is found in the mountains from the Klamath Mountains , then through the Sierra Nevada to the San Bernardino Range. Grows in humid places such as meadows and swamps .
