The best international artist (Worldwide act) is one of the main nominations at the MTV Europe Music Awards . It is handed over from 2011. The winner is identified by online voting on the MTV EMA website.
The nomination includes artists from 5 regions: Europe , North America , Latin America , the Asia-Pacific region and the African - Middle East - Indian region.
Voting for the Best International Artist is divided into 3 stages: local, regional and final. In 2012, 160 performers were represented in local voting. In the regional - 40. In the final stage, only 5 performers were represented.
