Sutoki is a village in Rameshkovsky district of the Tver region. Refers to the rural settlement of Ilgoshchi . Until 2006, the center of Sutoksky rural district.

The population according to the 2002 census is 151 people, 71 men, 80 women.

It is located on the P86 highway " Kushalino - Goritsy - Kashin - Kalyazin ", 27 km from Kushalino, 13 km from the village of Goritsy.

Near the village flows the river Krapivka . To the south of the village is the largest in the region the Orshinsky Moss swamp massif with many lakes, the largest is Lake Velikoye . Petrozerye , an island settlement in the center of these swamps, was previously part of the Sutoksky village council (rural district).

History

The village of Sutoka has been known since the 16th century, for some time it was in the possession of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery , and from the 18th century it was in the landowner's possession.

In 1859, the owner's village of Sutoki, 54 versts from the county town of Korchev , at the river Sutochka, 5 yards, 43 residents, 2 Orthodox churches [1] .

In 1887, the village center of the parish of the Pogoreltsevsky volost of the Korchevsky district , in the village of 3 residential and 13 non-residential buildings, the church building; lived a family of a priest and 3 peasant families - a total of 19 people. In the village Zemstvo school (opened in 1884).

In 1919, in the village of Sutoka - 13 yards, a school, a post office. In 1931, the village of Sutoki in the Ivantsevsky village council of the Kalinin district of the Moscow region, in 1940 - the Kushalinsky district of the Kalinin region .

During World War II, men who were fit for service were drafted into the army. The remaining villagers were sent to the construction of defensive structures, clearing roads in winter, and sawed. In 1941-42, evacuees and refugees lived in the village. During the war, 16 villagers perished on the fronts.

In 1950, the Sutoksky Village Council was formed, in 1951 Afatovsky, Ivantsevsky and Petroozersky Village Councils were added to it. In 1957-63, the village council in the Goritsky district , from 1963 in Rameshkovsky. According to the 1989 census, 146 people lived in the village.

In 2001, there were 58 houses in the village, 154 people were constantly living in them, 16 houses were the property of heirs and summer residents.

Attractions

An architectural monument is the building of the Spasskaya Church with a fence and gates of 1791-1905, passport No. 1121, as well as the estate of priest N. L. Prutensky, 1900-1901, personal property, passport No. 5550.

Famous People

In the village was born the Hero of the Soviet Union (1945) Peter Petrovich Sergeev (1915-1969), buried in the village of Maksatikha . One of the streets of Maksatikha bears his name.
