Selezenevo (on the top map of Seleznevo ) is a village in the Nazarovsky rural settlement of the Rybinsk district of the Yaroslavl region [1] .

The village is located on the right bank of the river Kolokshi . The river here flows in a deep valley. The village is located on the slope leading down to the river. On the right bank of the Koloksha, a country road from Shestovsky through Selezenevo leads to the ford through the right tributary of the Koloksha to the Soroka River, and from there goes further along the Koloksha to the Borzovo and Fedorovskoe . Opposite Selezenev on the other side of the Koloksha village is Chernyshevo , the road crosses there forks. Of all these villages, permanent residents are listed only in Shestovsky, which is located about 2 km east of Selezenev. To the north and south of Selezenev - uninhabited forest tracts [2] .
As of January 1, 2007, there were no permanent residents in the village [3] . The post office Shashkovo serves 3 houses in the village of Selezenevo [4] .
In the pre-revolutionary period, the village belonged to the parish church of the village of Koloksha ( Nikolo-Koloksha ), whose metric books of 1880-1917. preserved in the Rybinsk branch of the NSSA (State Archive of the Yaroslavl Region), as well as in the NSSA itself in the city of Yaroslavl - copies of the Rybinsk and for earlier periods. Before the abolition of serfdom, the peasants of this village belonged to the Vassilchikov patrimony.
The village of Seleznev is indicated on the plan of the General Survey of Romanovskiy Uyezd in 1790. The village is not listed in the list of settlements of Romanovo-Borisoglebsk district in 1865 [5] .
