Yayko-Ilemske

Yayko-Ilemsk is a mountain peak in the Gorgany massif ( Ukrainian Carpathians ), within the Dolinsky district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region , south-east of the village of Myslovka .

Location

It is located in the Western Gorgans , on a ridge stretching from the River Svicha to the Moloda River, and includes, besides Yayko-Ilemsky, such peaks: Bolshaya and Maly Lysak, Panets, Ukernya, Sivan Lolinskaya, Moloda , Yayko-Pereginskoye . It is the second peak in height in this ridge.

General data

Height is 1680 m (according to other data - 1685 m). The name of the mountain received for the characteristic shape, resembling an egg. The northeastern slopes are steep, steep; southeast and northwest - flat. The surface is covered with stone placers - sins. The top of the mountain is open. Develop modern nivatsiya. There are subalpine shrub wasteland. Below 1600 m - the belt of mountain pine crimson, turning into spruce . Cedar pine groupings survived.

Vertex Description

At the top there are two distinct spurs . The north-western spur smoothly descends and passes into the valley of the Long Field . The southeast spur is somewhat faster, there is a hunting lodge at a distance of about 1.5 km from the top, there is a source. The northeastern slope abruptly ends in the direction of the watershed of the Pravic and Mszana streams.

From the top there is a beautiful panorama - in the north you can see the whole Arshits ridge (with its nearest climax, Gorgan Ilemsky ). Further to the east you can see the sharp peak of High and the flat Glavovets , as well as Sivul . In the southeast direction, the peak of Molod dominates, from which stretches to the Yayka-Ilemsky ridge with the peaks of Poganets, Ukernya, Sivan Lolinskaya. To the left of the Young, Grof is visible. In the south direction Negrovets can be seen, and to the west - many lower wooded ridges in the valley of the Svich river, among which Menchil stands out.


  • On the southeastern slope is the Yaikivsky reserve .
