The match is remembered for the 10,000 meter race on July 18, during which the American athlete Bob Sot was on the verge of death due to dehydration caused by 33-34-degree heat and high humidity. Of the participants in the race, only Alexei Desyatchikov remained after the finish on his feet, although he, according to witnesses, was all black; other athletes were taken from the stadium to the intensive care unit [2] . The footage of this race was included in the film " Sports, Sports, Sports ".
