Tate Donovan ( born Tate Donovan ; born September 25, 1963 , New York , USA ) is an American actor and television director who is best known for his role in the series “ The Scramble ” (2007-2010).

Career
Tate Donovan has appeared in over eighty television series and films throughout his career. Due to his boyish appearance in the late eighties and early nineties, he played the roles of teenagers in such films as “Picnic in Space” (1986), “Pure and Sober” (1988) and “ Memphis Beauty ” (1990) [4] . His first major role on the big screen was in the romantic comedy " Love Drink No. 9 " (1992) [4] . He also appeared in the films The Equinox , Notes of Monkey Zetterland , Holy Marriage , The Thin Pink Line, Password Swordfish , Good Night and Good Luck , Nancy Drew and Operation Argo. " In 1997, he voiced the protagonist of the animated film Hercules .
On television, Donovan played the role of boyfriend Jennifer Aniston in the fourth season of the sitcom Friends . Previously, he played a major role in the sitcom Partners, which was closed after one season, despite good reviews from critics, and also voiced the title character of the animated series Hercules in 1998-99. From 2003 to 2006, he starred in the series " Lonely Hearts ."
Donovan played the role of a lawyer and assistant to the main character in the series “ Fight ” in 2007-2010. His character was brutally murdered at the end of the third season. As a director, he directed episodes of the series Lonely Hearts , Medium , Parts of the Body , Datura , Gossip Girl , Chorus and Fight . In 2012, he received one of the central roles in the prime time soap opera “ Deception ” [5] , closed after one season. In 2013, he got a role in the series Hostages with Tony Collette .
Personal life
Donovan met actresses Jennifer Aniston , Sandra Bullock and Lauren Graham [4] . From 2005 to 2008, he was married to Corinne Kingsbury, they have no children [4] . He is an active supporter of Barack Obama in the presidential elections of 2008 and 2012 [6] .
