History

At the beginning of the 17th century, the village of Kuklino was mentioned in the Meshchovsky district . It consisted of two parts located on small tributaries of the river Bryn , the distance between them was 2 versts.

By a letter of 1616, the stallions of the village of Kuklino were listed as Ivan Nikitin’s son Koryev, and the village without the foal followed him and Roman in the estate, but in Dm. Beklemishevymi in the homeland.

In 1776, with the formation of the Kaluga governorship, the village was divided between two districts - Zhizdrinsky and Serpeysky (from 1797, after the liquidation of Serpeysky district - Meshchovsky). Polsela Kuklino, who left Zhizdrinsky County, became known as Upper Kuklino, or Kuklino village. There were only 3 peasant households and 28 souls of peasants of both sexes in the village. Land - 559 acres: arable land, mowing land, drill forest. In 1782, half the village of Kuklino was counted for Prince Peter Vasilievich Volkonsky, Prince Grigory Ivanovich Vyazemsky and Peter Petrovich Beklemishev.

At the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 20th century, the owners of the estate, in which Kuklino and Maslovo of Zhizdrinsky district, Lipitsa and Teshilovo of Meshchovsky district, belonged, were the princes Volkonsky:

  • Guard Lieutenant Sergey Petrovich V. 1750-1807
  • Titular Advisor Petr Sergeevich 1789-1847
  • Guard Colonel Sergey Petrovich 1826-1889
  • His sons Peter Sergeevich (1864-1924) - Meshchovsk uyezd district leader of the nobility from 1889, and Nikolay Sergeevich (1865-1963).

In 1859 in the half-village of Kuklino there were 29 households, 283 inhabitants. The population of the village in 1913 was 222 people.

Before the war, Kuklino had 51 residential courtyards.

In 1931 a collective farm was organized, which was named in honor of the Red Army (workers 'and peasants' Red Army). In 1950 he was attached to the Maslovian collective farm "Lenin's Testament".

During the war, Kuklino was occupied by the Nazis in October 1941, liberated on March 28, 1942 by the troops of the 12th Guards sd. In the summer of 1942 a hospital worked here.

The village of Kuklino until 1968 belonged to the Gultsovskiy village council, then became part of the newly formed Maslovsky village village.
