Variety characteristics
Trees are of medium strength, the crown is round-oval [1] or wide-pyramidal [2] , rare [1] (according to other sources, it is dense and compact [2] ). Renal excitability is strong, shoot formation ability is weak. Fruits mainly on young spruces .
Shoots are cranked, slightly curved, greenish-brown, with a dark purple “tan”. Lentils are small, elongated. The kidneys are short-cone-shaped, semi-sprung.
Leaves of medium size, obovate, serrate margin serrate with single teeth. Petiole length and thickness medium, stipules small.
Fruits are medium in size (about 120 g), round, rarely flat-round or wide-rhombic in shape. The surface is smooth, shiny. The peel is of medium thickness and medium density, light yellow, sometimes on some fruits a faint red blush is observed. The funnel and saucer are narrow, small. The cup is half open. The peduncle is short, thick.
The flesh is beige-white, medium density, juicy, slightly oily, of a good sweet taste with a strong muscat aroma [1] . The attractiveness and taste of the fruit are estimated at 4.1-4.2 points [2] . The chemical composition of the fruit: 13.7% solids, 7.5% the amount of sugars, 0.15% the amount of acids [1] .
In Culture
In Moscow, the fruits ripen in the second or third decade of August [2] , require a short ripening. Fruit consumption period: end of August - beginning of September. In the refrigerator, the fruits are stored for up to 2 months.
The variety is early. The grafted plants begin to bear fruit for 3-4 years of life. Fruiting is abundant, sharply periodic [1] . The average yield of 140.5 c / ha [2] .
Winter hardiness is high. Pear 'Rogneda' has high resistance to scab and fruit rot .
