Borzovo (Yaroslavl region)

Borzovo is a village of the Shashkovsky rural district in the Nazarovsky rural settlement of the Rybinsk district of the Yaroslavl region ^[1] .

The village is located on the right bank of the Koloksha River in its middle reaches, below the mouth of its right tributary Soroka , in one of the most remote areas of the Nazarovsky rural settlement. Country roads, usually accessible only for special equipment, connect the village with the Rybinsk - Tutaev highway (on the left bank of the Volga ). One of such roads leads west and southwest along the right bank of Koloksha to Fedorovskoye , passing this village, crosses the right tributary of the Koloksha Vozhu and forwards onto the highway. Another heading south, fording Koloksha below the mouth of Soroka and through the village of Titovskoye goes to the New Town .

Upstream the Soroki, about 2 km northward, there are three villages: directly north of Borzovo - Varvarino , on the other left bank of the Soroka opposite Varvarino - Sorokino , at a distance of about 1 km northwest of Varvarino - the small village of Ramene . In all the named villages there are no permanent residents. The nearest settlements with a permanent population are about 3-4 km away - Shestovskoye to the east and Titovskoye to the south ^[2] .

In Borzov there is a monument of history and culture - the Church of the Resurrection of Christ , built in 1787-1796. ^[3] .

As of January 1, 2007, there were no permanent residents in the village ^[4] . The Erakovo post office serves 6 houses in the village of Borzovo ^[5] .
