Biography
Born in a poor family; at 10 years old lost his father. In the 12th year, the boy entered the 3rd Moscow gymnasium , which he graduated in 1853. Due to lack of funds, Semenov passed the exam for a home teacher and began to give lessons. After some time, he enlisted as a volunteer at the medical faculty of Moscow University .
In 1858 he graduated from the course as a doctor , and the following year he entered the Sheremetyevo hospital as a supernumerary intern.
In 1860 he entered the post of superintendent at Moscow prison hospitals and was elected a member of the Society of Russian Doctors in Moscow.
In 1862, he received the post of resident at the same hospitals, but on November 26, 1863, died of typhoid fever , which he contracted in the hospital.
