Kirill Yakovlevich Kozhurin (born July 13, 1972 , Leningrad ) is a Russian writer, poet, philosopher and translator. Member of the Russian Council of the Old Orthodox Pomeranian Church .

Biography
Born July 13, 1972 in Leningrad in a family of hereditary Old Believers. Father: Yakov Yakovlevich Kozhurin , Doctor of Philosophy, professor, historian and religious scholar, in 1976-1986 was the director of the State Museum of the History of Religion and Atheism . Mother: Lyudmila Ivanovna Kuchina, Ph.D. Brother: Anton Yakovlevich Kozhurin , Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Department of Philosophy, Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen . Grandfather: Yakov Andreyevich Kozhurin (1895-1971), spiritual mentor of the Pruzhinsky Old Believer community ( Pustoshkinsky district of the Pskov region)
In 1994 he graduated from the Philosophy Department of St. Petersburg State University .
October 27, 1999 at the Department of Philosophy of St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences on the topic "Problems of Religion and Culture in the Concept of Christopher Dawson ."
Since 1996 - Assistant, Department of Philosophy, St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance ; since 2000 - senior lecturer of the Department of Philosophy, since 2005 - Associate Professor of the same department.
In 2010, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
Since 2012 - Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Human Philosophy, at the A. I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University .
Since 2012, she has been the editor-in-chief of the Calendar of the Old Orthodox Pomeranian Church, as well as the editor of the book series “Russika” as part of the publishing project “Quadrivium”.
He also teaches at the Riga Grebenshchikovsky Theological College ( RGSO . Riga , Latvia ).
Member of the Russian Philosophical Society .

- K. Ya. Kozhurin is the great-great-granddaughter of the famous oceanographer and polar explorer Captain A. S. Kuchin and cousin of the Russian musician, composer and philosopher Ivan Sokolovsky . Book of K. Ya. Kozhurin “Protopop Avvakum. Life for Faith ”, which was published in 2011 in the series “ Life of Remarkable People ” , was included in the long list of the Russian national literary award “ Big Book ” -2012.
