INA (short for Industrija nafte , petroleum industry) is Croatia's largest oil and gas company. It was founded in 1964 . The company has a listing on both the Zagreb Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange (through global depositary receipts ). One of the 25 companies included in the key Croatian stock index CROBEX [2] . The headquarters is located in Zagreb .

Structure and indicators
The company is owned by the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL (47.16% of the shares), the Croatian state (44.84%) and private investors (7.9%) [3] .
The INA Group of Companies consists of the central division of INA, dd and a number of its affiliated companies, combined together in the INA Group. The number of employees of INA, dd is 8 876 people, the number of employees of INA Group - 14 217 people [3] . Chairman of the Board - Zoltán Áldott.
In terms of revenue, INA is the largest company in Croatia, according to 2010, its income amounted to 24 billion Croatian kuna (~ 3.5 billion euros) [1] . In addition, INA is the largest Croatian exporter ; in 2011, the company exported goods and services worth 10.47 billion kuna [4] .
History
The company was founded on January 1, 1964 by the merger of the Naftaplin oil company and oil refineries in Rijeka and Sisak [3] .
In 1968, the company commissioned a large mineral fertilizer plant in Kutin . In 1974, INA signed a contract for the construction of the JANAF pipeline through the territory of Croatia from Omisal to the Hungarian border. The pipeline was commissioned in 1979.
In 1993, the company was transformed into a joint stock company . Initially, the Croatian state owned 100% of the shares; in 2003, the Hungarian company MOL received 25% of the shares. In 2006, the company's shares were put on a free quote on the Zagreb Stock Exchange , the Croatian state retained a share of 44.84%.
Activities
The core of the group of companies is INA, dd is engaged in the exploration, production and transportation of oil and gas . The company is engaged in activities outside Croatia, in particular, it is exploring and producing oil and gas fields in Angola and Egypt [3] . The INA group of companies includes the two largest oil refineries in Rijeka and Sisak. The company's program provides for the investment in these plants of global investment in the amount of about 4 billion kunas to bring all products to European standards [3] . The company also owns a plant for the production of mineral fertilizers in Kutin and a number of smaller petrochemical enterprises.
Among the affiliated companies of the INA group are PROplin (production of liquefied natural gas ), Crosco (drilling operations), STSI (technical services) and Maziva-Zagreb (production of lubricants). INA also owns a stake in JANAF, the Croatian oil pipeline.
The company owns a network of 454 gas stations under the INA brand in Croatia and neighboring countries [3] .
