History
The Zoot Allures album is the only Zappa release released on the Warner Music Group label . In connection with a lawsuit with his former manager Herb Cohen, Frank Zappa's contract was temporarily reassigned from DiscReet Records to Warner Bros. Records. The name of the album is a pun on the French expression "Zut Alors!", Which, although it does not have a direct translation, but conveys a slight surprise and can be approximated as "Damn it!". Also, the name may mean in the generally accepted British expression a cigarette with marijuana [3] . The album’s most famous tracks are “Wind Up Workin 'in a Gas Station”, “The Torture Never Stops” and “Disco Boy”.
