“Corner house” ( Latvian: Stūra māja ) - a house in Riga on the corner of Brivibas and Stabu streets.

Built in 1912 as a tenement house with shops, designed by architect Alexander Vanag [2] . The building was originally called Tetera nams . Part of the first floor of the Corner House, two courtyards, gates and basements of the building have the status of a historical object of national importance [3] .
In Soviet times, from the autumn of 1940, the building was the State Security Committee of the Latvian SSR . From 1991 to 2008, the State Police of Latvia was in the Corner House; from 2008, the house was not used. In 2016, major repairs were carried out and a branch of the Museum of Occupation was opened.
In June 2003, a memorial plate by the sculptor Gleb Panteleev was installed at the entrance to the building [4] .
