Carotid arteries

Carotid arteries ( lat.arteriae caroticotympanicae ) - small branches of a stony segment of the internal carotid artery . They originate from the internal carotid artery at the time of its passage in the carotid canal . They are sent to the tympanic cavity through the carotid-tubular tubules. Anastomose with the arteries of the pool of the external carotid artery : the anterior tympanic artery , the branch of the maxillary artery , and with the styloid artery , the branch of the posterior ear artery .
