Race
At the start of the race 162 riders announced, and 114 came out. The first stage of Paris - Roubaix was replete with punctures and rubble. The first 2 stages of Georges Passierier and Lucien Petit-Breton did not allow anyone above 3rd place. At the 3rd stage, Passierier became only the 30th and lost real chances to win in the overall standings. A day earlier, another favorite, the Luxembourger Francois Faber , finished 49th. The winner of the 5 stages, Petit-Breton confidently brought the race to the final second victory in a row. Faber, the second foreign winner of the Tour stages after the Swiss Charles Leser in the debut race , won 4 stages and climbed to the 2nd position of the final podium. Passierier with three staged victories closed the top three winners. Like a year ago, Gustav Garrigu was recognized as the best miner, although this time he did not win a single stage and as a result became the 4th of 36 finishers.
