Content
DescriptionThe maximum shell length for this species is 18 cm, usually 14 cm [4] . Sink elongated, with a high curl. The surface of the shell is smooth with a few faint, spiral grooves near the end. The color is white with spiral rows of large orange or red spots.
DistributionThe species is widespread in the Indo-Pacific region, from East Africa, including Madagascar and the Red Sea , to eastern Polynesia . The range borders from southern Japan, Wake and Hawaii in the north to Australia in the south [4] .
Lives in intertidal and intertidal zones at a depth of approximately 80 m [4] .
NutritionThe Episcopal Miter is an active predator that feeds on small gastropods and bivalves.
