Biography
Karl Rudolph Florin was born on April 5, 1894 [2] .
In 1931, he received his doctoral degree at the University of Stockholm [4] . In 1947, Florin became a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences . He was director of the Bergianska trädgården from 1944 to 1964 and director of the Vetenskapsakademiens Bergianska stiftelse [5] . In 1958, he received the Darwin-Wallace Medal from the London Linnaean Society .
Karl Rudolph Florin died on September 24, 1965 [3] .
