Biography
Born February 22, 1836. From the nobility of the Kharkov province , the Orthodox faith. At the end of the course at the Konstantinovsky School and the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff , he held the following positions: in 1859 the senior adjutant of the Kutaisi governor general , in 1863 the senior adjutant of the 1st reserve corps , in 1864 he was for a special assignment at the headquarters of the Kharkov military district and in 1865 adjutant of the same corps. In 1867 he was appointed chief of staff of the 2nd Infantry Division , and in 1872 he was appointed chief of staff of the Caucasian Cavalry Division .
In 1874 he was appointed commander of the 82nd Infantry Dagestan of His Imperial Grand Duke Nikolai Mikhailovich regiment. Participant in the suppression of the uprising in Dagestan and the assault on the village of Tsudahar .
In 1878, the commander of the 2nd 40th Infantry Division, in 1883 the chief of staff of the 2nd Caucasian Army Corps , in 1887 the chief of staff of the Kazan Military District , in 1889 the chief of staff of the Caucasian Military District, and since 1896. March 16, 1898 was appointed assistant commander of the troops of the Vilna Military District . December 6, 1899 for the difference in service, promoted to general from infantry. Exactly two years later, he was appointed a member of the Alexander Committee on the wounded, with the abandonment of the General Staff . He died on September 12, 1914.
