Tyuyamunit is a radioactive mineral of the group of uranium mica . It is a calcium analogue of carnotite . It is described by K. A. Nenadkenich in 1912 , as a new mineral from the Tyuya-Muyun deposit ( Kyrgyzstan ).

Description
The crystalline structure is layered. Syngonia is rhombic. Cleavage is perfect. The appearance is lamellar. Color is yellow with an orange-yellow or greenish tint. Gloss mother-of-pearl or glass. It occurs in the form of scales, or in the form of powder clusters. The break is mica-like.
Location
It occurs in sedimentary rocks when exposed to bicarbonate water on carnotite.
