Content
History
Between Greceni and Vulcanesti , the historical Cagul battle of 1770 took place . The Russian army under the command of P. Rumyantsev defeated the troops of Turks and Tatars many times superior in numbers. Under Grechenia was the initial position of the Russian army.
Geography
The village is located at an altitude of 110 meters above sea level [1] .

According to the 2004 census , 135 people live in the village of Grechen (67 men, 68 women) [2] .
