Khachatryan, Ashot Vanikovich

Ashot Vanikovich Khachatryan (born 1954) is a Russian artist , founder and editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Artist of St. Petersburg”.

Biography

Born in 1954 in the Armenian city of Armavir [1] . In 1973 he graduated from the Yerevan School of Decorative and Applied Arts. After two years of study at the drawing department of Yerevan Pedagogical Institute H. Abovyan , in 1977 he moved to Leningrad . In 1978-1981 he was a volunteer at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin . In 1992 he joined the St. Petersburg Union of Artists, since 1993 he is a member of the bureau of the painting section [1] . Since 2002 - Member of the Board of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists.

In 1998, he was admitted to the Union of Artists of Romania.

Co-founder and chief editor of the newspaper "Artist of St. Petersburg" [2] .
