Rotary printing machine - a device for printing press, which has a cylindrical shape of the working body.
It was invented by Friedrich Johann König in 1810.
The rotary machine is designed for reproduction of printing products in large volumes and has a high print speed. On a rotary printing machine, printing can be done in various ways: letterpress , gravure printing , offset printing , etc. Rotary machines are also divided into sheet and roll: in the first case, the machine receives the already cut sheets of the desired format, on which printing is performed, while in a roll machine the cutting of the sheet occurs at the exit of the machine. Rolled rotary printing machines have a higher print speed: modern machines can print up to 102 thousand impressions per hour [1] .
