Destroyer -14 - Greek destroyer , famous in the First Balkan War . Laid down in 1884 at the AG Vulcan Stettin plant ( Germany ). The fourth of a series of destroyers of the same type (other vessels of the series: destroyer-11 , destroyer-12 , destroyer-13 , destroyer-15 , destroyer-16 ). Launched in 1885 . In the same year came into operation. He took part in the Greek-Turkish war of 1897 . Together with the ship "Pineos" in early May 1897 captured Turkish transport with soldiers and ammunition on board. In 1905, it was refurbished in Piraeus . With the beginning of the Balkan Wars, on November 8, 1912, under the command of Navy lieutenant Periklis Argiropoulos, a Turkish gunboat Trabzon was sunk by a torpedo in the bay of the town of Kidonies Ayvalik .
