Player Career
George began his career at Dynamo Tbilisi. He made his debut for the club in 2006 and held thirty-seven meetings for him. George also played nine matches for Dynamo 2 . In 2009, the goalkeeper moved to Le Mans . The transfer amount was eight hundred thousand euros [2] . From 2009 to 2011, he played for the club’s second team, playing twenty-five games. For Le Mans, George made his debut at the moment the last season of the team in the Premier League 2009/10. This season he played two matches. Now he has counted forty meetings for Le Mans.
Team Career
George made his debut for the Georgian national team at the age of 17 on September 12, 2007 in a friendly match against Azerbaijan (1: 1). In 2007 and 2008, George spent 4 more matches for the national team, including a victory over Scotland in the Euro 2008 qualifying tournament. After losing to Northern Ireland in March 2008, the young goalkeeper stopped playing for the national team. The next match for the national team, Makaridze spent 9 years later, having entered the field in a friendly match against the national team of Latvia (5-0) on March 28, 2017.
