The Power Within is the fifth studio album of the British power metal band DragonForce , released in mid-April 2012. The album was released on April 11 in Japan, April 13 in Australia, April 15 in the UK, April 16 in Europe and April 17 in North America. [6] This is the first DragonForce album with vocalist Mark Hudson.

On February 2, 2012, the group published the details of the new album on its Facebook page , and later on the official website. The album cover, song list and release date were published.
Herman Lee stated:
The last two years have been the funniest we have ever had. Thanks to the fact that we composed, rehearsed and performed together, we created incredible energy, which was completely transmitted on this album. This time we really showed our “metal” side and created some of the best songs in our career. The new album has the fastest songs that we have ever recorded, slow songs, and some songs that no one expected from us - this is by far the most diverse DragonForce album. This is an exciting new era of DragonForce with Mark, so we decided it would be the perfect time to take complete control of our destiny and create our own label in Europe. "
On February 18, 2012, the song “Fallen World” was free to listen to on the Metal Hammer website. On March 8, 2012, the song became available for download. [7] [8]
On March 30, 2012, the song “Cry Thunder” was free to listen to on RCRDLBL via SoundCloud . However, the download function has been disabled. [9]
On March 29, 2012, DragonForce uploaded the Cry Thunder video onto their official Youtube channel . On April 3rd, the video was shown on www.noisecreep.com and became available for download via iTunes . [ten]
Another video for the song “Seasons” was released on September 14, 2012. It shows scenes from the album, live performances, backstage filming during the recording of “Cry Thunder”.
