It flows through the territory of Ustyansky and Tarnogsky regions. The source is in the Arkhangelsk region, the middle and lower reaches (50 km) are in the Vologda region. It flows into the Kokshengu River, 243 km from its mouth on the right bank.
The length of the river is 70 km, the catchment area located on a flat and undulating swampy lake-glacial plain is 351 kmΒ². Slope - 1 m / km. There are no settlements on the river.
