Early years
Born in a Jewish clerk's family. He studied at a commercial school, the Sevastopol Labor School.
VChK-OGPU-NKVD
In 1920, in the Cheka, a secretary of the Special Division of the Cheka of the Black and Azov Seas - worked in the Crimea, Vitebsk, Bryansk, Gomel. In 1921–1925, the secretary of the authorized representative of the Main Directorate of Police of the NKVD of the RSFSR in Crimea, the secret authorized representative was the authorized representative of the Crimean Cheka-GPU under the SNK of the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, assistant official of the Secret Operations Directorate, authorized secret department, acting chief, authorized assistant assistant chief of the 1st Division of the Secret Operational parts, head of the I department of the Secret Operational Directorate of the GPU under the SNK of the Crimean ASSR. In 1928-1931, he was authorized by the II Division of the Secret Department of the OGPU at the USSR SNK, assistant to the head of the VIII Division of the Secret Department of the OGPU at the USSR SNK, assistant to the head of the III Division of the Secret Department of the OGPU at the USSR SNK, an employee for special assignments of the OGPU at the USSR SNK. In 1931–1935 he was the head of the Secret Political Department of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the OGPU at the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR for the Moscow Region — the NKVD Directorate for the Moscow Region, and simultaneously since 1933 he was an assistant to the plenipotentiary representative of the OGPU — head of the NKVD Directorate for the Moscow Region. In 1935-1937, Deputy Head of the Office of the NKVD in the Moscow Region.
From July 20, 1937 to February 28, 1938, he was head of the NKVD Directorate for the Ivanovo Region. This period was marked by the inclusion of a special troika created by order of the NKVD of the USSR dated July 30, 1937 No. 00447 [1] and active participation in the Stalinist repressions [2] .
Since March 1938, head of the III Division III Directorate of the NKVD of the USSR.
Repression
Arrested on September 13, 1938 . Shot on January 25, 1940 . Not rehabilitated.
Rewards
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin ( 1937 ) [3] , the Red Banner ( 1932 ), “ Badge of Honor ” ( 1936 ) [4] , and the badge “Honorary Worker of the Cheka-GPU”. Member of the Supreme Council of the USSR of the 1st convocation.
