Biography

Since 1908 he studied at the Law Faculty of Lviv University . In 1914 he received a doctorate in law.

In 1910 he graduated from officer courses. Member of the First World War. In August 1914 he organized a rifle detachment, in which he joined the Polish legions . He ended the war in 1918 as a captain, head of the quartermaster service of the Polish legions.

Until 1926 he served in the Polish army. In 1927-1935 and 1936-1939 he was president of the bank. In October 1935 - May 1936 - served as Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Poland .

In 1927 he organized and until 1946 he headed the Federation of Polish Unions of Defenders of the Fatherland, was the creator of the Polish section of the International Federation of Former Veterans (FIDAC), from 1932 - vice president, and in 1927-1946 - commandant of this organization.

Since 1926 - President of the Legia football club (Warsaw), laid the actual foundations of the club’s functioning, organized its financing and carried out the construction of the capital’s Legia stadium. He was also one of the organizers and the first president of the Polish Football League (01.03.1926 - 01.01.1928).

In 1928 he was elected head of the Polish Tourist Club

In September 1939, after the occupation of Poland by Wehrmacht troops , he emigrated to England through Romania and France. He lectured to Polish students.

He died in 1946 in a military hospital.
