Garibov, Adil Abdulkhalyg oglu

Adil Garibov was born on March 28, 1950 in the village of Ibrahim-kend of the Sheki district. In 1966 he graduated from school with a silver medal and entered the chemistry department of Azerbaijan State University . In 1972 he graduated with honors. In 1973-1976 he studied at the graduate school of the Radiation Research Sector of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (he defended his dissertation in 1979 at the Institute of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan). After graduate school, he worked in the Radiation Research Sector as an engineer (1977-1978), a junior (1978-1980), then a senior research fellow (1980-1990). In 1990-1995 he was the head of the group “Radiation Chemistry of Heterogeneous Systems”. In 1995 he defended his doctoral dissertation, and in 1998 became a professor in the specialty "Radiation chemistry" ^[1] . In 1995-2001 he worked as the head of the laboratory "Radiation Chemistry of Heterogeneous Systems" of the Radiation Research Sector of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. In 2002, the latter was transformed into the Institute of Radiation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, whose director was Adil Garibov. In 2007, he was elected a corresponding member of ANAS in the field of radiation chemistry ^[2] .
