Biography

Born in a wealthy noble family. Father is a judge of a city ​​court, a college adviser , and an older brother is a justice of the peace .
I was fond of populist ideas when communicating with close friends of my older brother and his wife. I entered the local circle of the organization of Tchaikovtsy .
She graduated from the course of the Moscow Nikolaev Institute [1] .
She later graduated from obstetric courses. In June 1874 she was arrested for anti-government propaganda. Contained in the Suschevsky police station in Moscow. She was involved in the propaganda case in the empire ( trial of the 193s ). In 1875 she was transferred to Petersburg to the House of Pre-trial Detention , in 1876 in the Trubetskoy bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress , where she was before the trial. During the trial, the defendants were again transferred to the Pre-trial Detention House. The process took place from October 18, 1877 - to January 23, 1878 under the court of the Special Presence of the Governing Senate. A court sentence imposed pretrial detention as a punishment.
After her release, she joined the organization " Earth and Freedom " and continued anti-government propaganda among the workers. After the creation of the party " Narodnaya Volya " in 1879, became a member of the party and a member of the Executive Committee.
Fulfilled the instructions of the party to organize the assassination attempt on Emperor Alexander II on the railway near Odessa in the autumn of 1879 .
After the failure with the attempt, she was sent to Chisinau in December 1879 to organize a dig for the Treasury building in order to expropriate the funds for party needs.
In 1881, she took part in the equipment for mines for digging along Malaya Sadovaya Street .
She carried out work on the production of explosives and their loading of projectile shells (bombs) for the assassination attempt on Emperor Alexander II on March 1, 1881 .
Arrested on September 3, 1881 . She was held in the Peter and Paul Fortress. She was brought to trial over 20 Narodnaya Volya residents ( trial of 20 ). Held in the Special Presence of the Governing Senate February 9 - 15, 1882 . The most significant of the people's food processes. 11 members of the People’s Will Executive Committee and 9 party members were brought to trial. The main charge was participation in eight attempts on the king. On February 15, 1882, she was sentenced to death by a court decision, replaced on March 17, 1882 by the High Command of indefinite penal servitude.
In July 1883, a seriously ill patient was sent from St. Petersburg to the Carian penal servitude . The caring care of her hard labor comrades for the patient and some treatment extended her life for several years.
Died of scurvy and tuberculosis on July 19, 1887 in the Carian penal servitude.
