Born on August 29, 1937 in Moscow . Graduated from K.E. Tsiolkovsky Moscow Aviation Technical Institute , engineer (1960), candidate of technical sciences (1968), doctor of technical sciences (1976), professor (1982), corresponding member of the Academy of Technological Sciences of the Russian Federation (1992).
Since 1960 he has been working at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (engineer, deputy head of laboratory, head of department, head of laboratory, head of research department, adviser to the Director General).
He took a direct part in the development and organization of new industries, which have no analogues, chemical products such as boron and carbon fibers , whiskers.
