Biography
Edwin Bingham Copeland was born on September 30, 1873 in the city of Monroe in Wisconsin [2] .
In 1909, Copeland founded the Philippine College of Agriculture in Los Banos, Laguna , now known as the University of Los Angeles of the Philippines, and was its dean and professor of plant physiology for eight years (1909–1917). He made a significant contribution to botany, describing many plant species [3] .
Edwin Bingham Copeland died on March 16, 1964 in Chico, California . [2]
