In 1768, from the Emir of Bukhara , hair was received as a gift to the city of Kandahar, as well as a fragment of the cape (cloak) of the Prophet Muhammad . Two city mosques were built to store gifts: the Prophet’s hair mosque (Jame-Mui-Mobarak) and the Prophet’s cloak mosque ( Da-Kerka-Sarif-Ziarat ) (the entrance for non-Muslims is closed).
A canal flows through the shaded courtyard of the mosque. Once upon a time there was a shelter for travelers [2] .
