The Asian Women's Basketball Championship is an international basketball tournament held since 1965 every two years under the auspices of FIBA Asia . It is a qualifying tournament for the Asian teams at the World Championships and the Olympic tournament . It is the most prestigious tournament for women's national basketball teams in Asia.
