Description
The narrow stalk has an elongated, narrow, oblong shell with a length of 9 to 13 cm [1] .
Distribution
The species lives on the western, southern and northeastern coast of Japan , in Southern Primorye , South Korea , China , Taiwan . Mollusks live on a sandy bottom in the tidal zone, in shallow water at a depth of 2 to 7 m [1] .
Value
The clam is edible and is eaten by humans. It is sensitive to salt. If salt is put in the hole made by the mollusk in the sand, the mollusk quickly emerges from the hole. Thus, the collection of mollusks occurs quickly and efficiently.
