The Order of the Iron Helmet ( German: Orden vom Eisernen Helm ) is a Hessian-Kassel military order established by Elector Wilhelm on March 18, 1814 in memory of the war for liberation from Napoleonic troops.

The insignia was a black silver-edged cast-iron Brabant cross , with an open helmet in the middle, on the sides of which stood the letters "W." and "K.", and under the helmet - "1814".
The statute of the order provided for a large cross and crosses of knights ( German: Ritter ) of the first and second classes. Knights wore crosses on a red ribbon with white edges in a buttonhole. Knights of the first class, in addition to the cross in the buttonhole, wore a cross on their left chest, and the owners of a large cross also wore a cross on their neck.
