He fled from there in the spring of 1941, upon returning to the country, he took the post of secretary of the Bielinsky district party committee.

War

After the April war and the occupation of the country, Fadil went underground, leading a detachment of Bielin anti-fascists: he massively purchased weapons and organized battle groups. After the meeting of the Bosnian Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of Ukraine on July 13, 1941 , at which a decision was made to start hostilities in connection with the uprising in Montenegro , Fadil began to lead the first operations of the partisans: a break in the telegraph and telephone lines Bielina-Brcko and Bielina-Zvornik, clashes with the gendarmes in Trnjaci , Gorne Crnelovo and Dragalevac, explosions of bridges on the Sava river and so on. In August, Yakhich became a member of the Mayevitsky partisan detachment and was appointed his political instructor. Repeatedly, he showed his fighting qualities as a veteran of the Civil War in Spain.

On February 20, 1942 , his detachment in the village of Vukosavtsi near Mayevitsa was attacked by Serbian Chetniks led by Captain Stevan Leko Damjanovic and Radivoye Kerovic . A non-aggression pact was concluded with Damianovic’s detachment, but the Serbian monarchists violated this pact by ambush against the partisan communists. In the battle, detachment commander Ivan Markovich and about 30 others were killed, including Fadil Yakhich.
